- Ideal for product teams that need consistent design output without a Sydney salary
- Filipino designers are culturally aligned with Western UI/UX conventions
- NSW businesses save 60–70% hiring an offshore UI/UX Designer compared to the Sydney market rate of A$75,000–A$105,000 annually
Working hours overlap
Your day is their day shift.
Sydney (AEST)9:00am
Manila (PHT)7:00am
Manila is 2 hours behind Sydney (3 in daylight saving), so your business day is a normal day shift for them.
Can they work within our existing design system?
Yes. Offshore UI/UX Designers adapt to existing design systems, Figma libraries, and component structures from day one.
Do they conduct user research?
Yes. Research tasks including user interviews, usability testing coordination, and analysis are within scope for senior designers.
How do they collaborate with developers?
Via Figma handoffs, dev notes, Zeplin, or Storybook — whichever format your dev team uses.
Can they design for mobile as well as web?
Yes. Mobile-first and responsive design across iOS, Android, and web is standard for modern UI/UX designers.
What portfolio output should I expect?
During hiring, you can review portfolio examples and request a small test project. Quality is assessed against your specific product context.
